I would first like to thank Amazing Ribs for teaching me how to cook expensive large cuts of meat without failure. I seen the video of how to cut the bone away from the Prime Rib, and was delighted that our local butcher ( R & R meats ) had pre-cut the bone to season the roast, and tied it back up.
So with that I read lots of reviews as to time and temperature. So using my MasterBuilt Electic Smoaker I set it to 225 degrees and placed the 10 lb.
Prime Rib bones down. Set my Maverick ET-733 for 200-250 for the smokers temperature and set the other to 120 for the roast. 3-1/2 hour later the roast read 120 inside. At that time I covered it with aluminum foil and a towel for about one hour where the temp came up to 132, then after the other foods were ready I used our convection oven at 500 degrees and put the final crust on the Prime Rib for 8 to 10 minutes. It was perfect, Thank You Amazing Ribs!
