    Channel for Portable Grills

Did I overlook it, or is there no dedicated channel for portable grills? I have a couple of these, but don't know where to post about them on the site.

Maybe being portable it got moved or loaned out.

I have a lot of portable grills and support this idea. I have a Jumbo Joe, 3 Smokey Joes, a Weber Q, Son of Hibachi, and an ultralight backpacking grill. I probably have more I can't think of right now.

I believe you would just post in the other channel of the appropriate fuel source, though with the popularity of portable smokers and grills increasing, maybe a brand-agnostic dedicated portable grill channel would make sense?

Excellent idea IMO. Just off my head, I believe the only 3 sub channels needed would be fuel source…..gas, charcoal and pellet grills.

        GRILLS - Portable

        Portable Charcoal Grills - ……..

        Portable Gas Grills - ……..

        Portable Pellet Grills……

Not sure if we need to divide them further into different brands 🧐

EDITED: Forgot about portable pellet grills.

Let's not forget Portable Pellet Grills (or smokers .. or cookers ... or whatever). They're a thing now, too. 😎

Please, do not make it too complicated. I'm easily confused.
How about towable offset smokers on a Trailor?
How about any grill with wheels?
Would a PBC with wheels count, those without not?
Would a pop-out gas grill on the side of an RV count?

Is it a manufacturer that only manufactures portable grills? Or do they have "big" size grills.

Let us chew on this. Currently we have grills/smokers divided up by fuel type- charcoal, gas, pellet and multi being the main categories. Portable ones can span all fuel types...so it creates a tough spot with the potential for a lot of duplication.

Currently, until the mods all decide otherwise, please just use the fuel type, and the brand (if specified, use "Other" if brand is not specified) to talk about each partcular portable one.

Just thought of something Huskee Jerod Broussard Do we include griddles? The Pit Boss I just bought has 3 models of their griddles that can be portable. Their 2, 3 and 4 burner models, the griddle can be lifted off the cart to take elsewhere…camping etc. Hmm, I can see where all this would definitely need some thought. Thanks for y’all’s quick response mods!

We already occasionally get someone saying the list of channels is too complicated. Then we get some asking for more channels.

Funny story, someone contacted me about a week ago to complain that our channel system is all messed up. They wished it was more like Traeger. They want to see Pork > Chops > Traeger. I had to scratch my head at that one. They would rather see how to cook a pork chop on a Traeger, specifically, than a dedictaed Pork channel, or a dedicated Pellets > Traeger channel. I didn't realize cooking a pork chop on a Traeger was so vastly different than any other hot box. But it just goes to show that ya can't please everyone!
