Thanks Ace, so it’s for heat retention? They appear to fit perfectly, was it designed for this mod?

I haven't done the retrofit and for as little that I'm able to use it, I'm not sure that I will (we'll see how it goes). This isn't a factory upgrade and Blackstone hasn't commented on it as far as I know. The guys that have done it do say that it is for better heat retention as you thought and it seems that these are standard firebricks. I don't have the sizes or the quantity needed but I do remember that one of the YouTube videos that I saw went in to more detail on that. 😊
