    Santa Maria Build, S. of Richmond: Progress Report v4 (ANY ADIVSE/CAAVEATS laying down Firebrick???)

    Anticipate this will be ready for pick in the next few days... after the paint dries.

    V4 shows the final touches (Door Latches, Completed the Brasero and Handles)
    and I will line the Fire-Brick to the sides and bottom of the firebox (ANY ADIVSE/CAAVEATS ???)

    I have learned that he is "technically retired" and does this to keep busy

    "Pa's Welding" is on Facebook (He has re-located to Virginia) or search "Sant Maria Grills" on FB Marketplace

    IMO, this Rig is awesome- very happy with the results and the price point!!

    That rig is looking awesome. I’m excited. I can only imagine how you’re feeling.
    I would definitely recommend using firebricks. I put them in mine and it really seems to help 1: retain heat and 2: disperse the heat more evenly around the cooking area.

      I guess I will be buying a special blade for my mitre.....should not need to cut many of them

      No need for any special tools. I bought a diamond cutting wheel and absolutely did not need it. It easily cuts with any saw. I used my table saw.
