Yeah Food Lab is Kenji's book. It's... good. Not sure how much it overlaps McGee though.

rickgregory didn’t kenji and McGee collaborate on stuff? No wait, that was Peter Meehan! If you can find them, I highly suggest Lucky Peach. It’s a magazine, not a book. But it showed me that Bourdain is (was) a genius! And I got the "meet" David Chang for the first time, as it were. I have every issue. I googled it one day and some site said it’s worth like $2200-5500. I haven’t even opened the last issue yet.
