    Picked up a good non-bbq cookbook the other day...

    I created the link from my AR bookmark.

    All About Braising: The Art of Uncomplicated Cooking by Molly Stevens. James Beard award winner for 2004. It is easy to follow and has a lot of good information, aside from the recipes. If you're looking for a gift to give, or request, this is worth at least a look.

    I used the "look inside" feature to decide if it was right for me, and it was. Check it out!

    Hmmmm. This makes me want to break out my dutch oven, and braise some meats IN the smoker perhaps! Or maybe the BGE.

      I like to smoke first then finish off in the dutch oven! Short ribs are super good this way!

      smokinfatties - I do, too. A big old pork butt crammed into my Lodge dutch oven is infinitely better (to me) than wrapping. If it's too big, I cut it and use two ovens.

    It's a great book. She has another one about roasting that is equally good, and was, I think, my first introduction to the reverse sear.
