I just went outside and had a smoke - (-10ºF) wind chill, 9ºF absolute. Blowing dry snow. We're at about 2" right now. If that. Supposed to have been 8-12" total today - I don't think we're gonna get there.
My FIL used to eat 3 strips of bacon and an egg every morning. I think some time in his 70's his doc said he needed to cut back on the bacon. I'm sure the doc had in mind that he would only have bacon once or twice a week. My FIL just cut back to two strips per day.
That reminds me several years ago the late George Burnes who was 100 years old at the time wrote a book (the name of which I cannot remember) dedicated his book to the memories of all the doctors who told him that if he did not stop drinking and stop smoking cigars he would die prematurely.
Probably the greatest GOTCHA any of us could give to anyone else.
