It's the new competitor for Twitter - some folks wanted to go there because they didn't like the comments being allowed on Twitter. BlueSky is heavily moderated for content, i.e., some viewpoints are not allowed. So if that's the kind of platform you're looking for, it may be worth looking into. Call it the new 'woke-Twitter' maybe.

Sorry, I am a strong believer of the 1st Amendment!

Yeah, I know Bluesky, but I only really get into the med stuff. I recall when Food Network started, and Iron Chef, and I know that the Japanese version had been on few years prior. Would have been maybe mid to late 80s. Still would have to wonder why on earth one would be positing about it, and why another one would be looking at it. One of the nice things about Bluesky is you can block and they will go away, not that crazy internet of coming back as another entitiy to annoy you again. I haven't seen this, but I would block. Block, block, block. Can't be a good or helpful thing.

The one thing I really like about Bluesky is the use of feeds, so if I just want to see stuff on higher education, cooking, or astronomy, I can. And no bots, at least very few so far.

Draznnl Yes, the blocking culture of Bluesky is refreshing.
