Well............new to YT anyway. Yesterday this guy pops up on my YT feed: Emeril Lagasse Channel Trailer The once upon a time biggest star on The Food Network has now evolved into a self publishing YouTuber. Looks like he just started his channel a week or so ago, and at this writing has less than 2k subscribers. Could be in for some interesting stuff though, like his home made Worcestershire Sauce
I was a huge Emeril fan in the early 2000s. He is what got me into cooking. I still have and use much of his cookware.
I believe this is still the case, but he doesn't fully own the rights to his own name, in large part. He got hit with the perfect storm in 2008....Emeril Live was cancelled and we had the recession which hit him very hard financially.
He sold the rights to his name, likeness, cookware, spices, etc. to Martha Stewart for $50 million that year. (He does retain the rights to himself in reference to his restaurants and corporate offices.)
Digging around, it does appear that this channel is his; it is associated with The Emeril Group and I can find no mention of Martha Stewart Omnimedia.
(Obviously, I've always found the business aspect of the branding of chefs to be fascinating.)
