    Guy Fieri the Real Deal,

To all those who like to bash Guy Fieri or even those who questioned his placement into the BBQ HOF, I was one of them based on no knowledge except Triple D & the Food Network, there is quite the interview of him by Graham Bensinger. If you watch it you will change your opinion real fast. Also impressive was his creation of the Relief “Trailers”, he has two of them, capable,of feeding 5000 people, firstly for first responders. Quite a humble guy. Yes, surprising.

I enjoy watching his show and it's good to see that he is giving back. I have been to 4 of his featured restaurants and have been totally disappointed in each one. One in particular was beyond bad. I guess over time things change at these establishments and things went downhill. The food looks so good on TV.

I've heard the same thing about one of his restaurants from friends who went there. I don't know anything about restaurant management, but I have to assume that you need to hire the right people to manage it "your way" and hold true to the recipes you created. And a surprise visit now and again might be a good idea

I've been to 5 of the restaurants he visited on DDD, only one is still open, and it was way before covid. I think his advance people are genuine when they schedule a show but at times, the owners get a big head and overestimate the temporary bump they get from being on his show. They make grandiose plans which are not sustainable.

I’ve been to one of his restaurants, it was about the same as an Applebee’s, except more expensive. That being said, I enjoy his shows. I’ve never seen Grocery Games though.

I’ve always enjoyed him, seems to be a nice guy despite what you hear from various outlets. But the story behind his sister and helping there and what he does for other groups as Well as what his shows do for the restaurants he visits on Triple D.

thanks for sharing the links on the interview - I’ve seen them but haven’t watched yet. Wil do this weekend.

I remember when he was in one of the competitions to get where he is, can’t remember which one. He seemed to have the personality to really take off. Good to know he helps community and such too.

It was "The Next Food Network Star," if memory serves.

OK, he's a great guy and does good deeds. The clown costume is just his hook for those who like chefutainment on TV.

Mixed feelings. Love the car, love his outside kitchen, but “Guy’s Grocery Games”? Yikes.
Good to know he gives back. There are probably hundreds if not thousands of food trucks and bbq places that are registered to provide relief in catastrophic storm, flood, fire situations. 😎👍👍

My grandma always said if you can't say something nice, don't say anything.

EDIT: OK, I'm glad he does this relief trailer.
Hopefully somebody else does the cooking, because he can't cook.

But, I can't stand him on TV.
Tournament of Champions is the only show of his that we watch.

His regards for his sister, then his feelings & treatment of his family is more than admirable, off the charts one may say, especially in these weird times, Not the celebrities celebrity.

He spoke at a trade show I was at once. Lots of energy, mic on or off. He was pretty nice!

Guy appears to be a good family man, and that goes a long way in my book.

I still hate Grocery Games, though. Why can't chefs just cook on Food Network TV? Enough with the games. For that reason, I haven't watched FN in years.

I'd rather watch Chef Jean-Pierre on You Tube.
