All About H-E-B

I know that the Texans among us have done a lot of bragging here about our favorite grocery store, HEB….and for our friends outside of Texas, some of you may want to know what all the hoopla is about. I ran across this video recently and thought I’d share it with y’all. Pretty interesting and is a quick rundown of why it is most Texan’s favorite grocery store….by far! It also tells how the company started, how well they treat their employees…and customers, as well as their philanthropy and willingness to help out in natural disasters that hit Texas. They have huge disaster response teams along with portable kitchens and all necessary trucks and equipment. When Hurricane Harvey and the big freeze hit a few years ago, HEB was the first to arrive and help out storm victims. Anyway, even my fellow Texans might learn a few things from the video. There’s plenty here about their products as well. Oh, there’s also a lot of good stuff in the “comments” section.

At one point not long ago I think I was hearing some nonsense about H-E-B expanding into middle Tennessee. It looks like there is nothing to that, which is great. H-E-B is a Texas thing, and needs to stay there. I feel the same way about Buc-ee's, even though I love having one less than an hour from me now.
