    Terry Black’s BBQ in Lockhart…A Day In The Life of a Pitmaster

    I just ran across this video in my YouTube feed. This 15 minute clip is probably the most interesting, detailed and well produced video I’ve seen, related to its subject. I learned so much and gained a lot of respect for these guys and what they do…day in and day out. Can you believe they do 300 briskets…a day! 😳 Spoiler alert: Some of it is shipped to their Austin location. Several of us ate at the Lockhart location at the last MeatUp and left thoroughly impressed, with the food and the friendliness of the workers. They eagerly gave several of us a little tour of the pit area and happily answered all my dumb questions. 🤓 Anyway, when you get a little time, it’ll be worth your while to check it out.

        Once I started watching it, it was hard to stop. I did stop once halfway through, then finished the rest of it later. I had a pedicure appointment I couldn’t miss. 🤓
