A friend of mine was at the local brewery Wednesday showing me his new compound bow. This morning he's out west and posted his first kill - an Axis deer. Jealous.

Axis are the best, they’re pudgy which makes them tasty. 2 bucks and 4 does wandered through my yard the other night.

I’m almost finished building a Ruger Redhawk 44 mag for pig hunting. I’ve not taken one with a handgun yet. I’ll post a picture of it when the scope rings get here. By the way both Leopold and Burris stopped making handgun scopes last year, it’s all red dot stuff now. If you have a good handgun scope hang on to it.
