    Going Whole Hog: SC BBQ Cookbook

    Self-publishing a collection of recipes and histories focused on South Carolina barbecue. I have been covering SCBBQ since my wife and I went on a Summer BBQ Tour back in 2012 and she suggested "you can write a blog about it." Over a decade later, I still am. This hardcover edition is an expanded, reformatted, and updated version of an ebook I've sold on my site since 2018. People kept asking for a print version. Since I was a high school yearbook adviser for 23 years, I had the skills to put it together, but it wasn't until I retired that I had the time to really dedicate to the project. This week I launched a Kickstarter-style launch and surpassed my goal within the first few hours and the cart doesn't close until Friday. Not going to post a link because that's not really what this post is about. Rather, just wanted to say: it's possible (not easy but possible) if you've ever considered creating one yourself.

                I looked over your index carefully and it looks like you did a great job covering SC BBQ. I preordered a copy and look forward to receiving it when it gets printed.

                      Oh yea,,,looks like a great addition to my cook book collection.

                        Thanks. As I try to explain in the book, it is easier than people assume. Has been a (served on) Christmas Eve tradition in my house for a long while now.

That said, DO NOT buy the ebook linked...well, unless you get the Permanent Edition, which entitles you to all future digital updates including this one below. That's the old version that I created in 2018. I will finalize and list the new digital version for sale by early 2024.

That's the old version that I created in 2018. I will finalize and list the new digital version for sale by early 2024.​
