If ya go with option # 2, make sure you cut just above the shoulder to prevent the husks from holding the corn in.

I like the first method and I can see why it works well: you're pulling the husks off in a single motion rather than bit by bit. (Also, wow, standard definition video looks terrible on modern screens lol.)

For the second video, I wonder if cooking the corn in the husks in the oven would have the same effect? (Squeezing the corn out reminded me of roasted garlic.)
