I heard Panhead John was her inspiration. She saw him eating at Whataburger one time and damn, she’d never see anyone put away so many burgers so quickly. She, of course, felt she could do better and thus, this video was born. She did try to ask John for his number at the time, but he was too busy posting on some BBQ forum to notice her presence.
A few years back there was a girl competitive eater that ate three of the Big Texan in Amarillo free meal challenge in less than 30 minutes. Each meal consists of 72oz steak, loaded baked potato, 10 shrimp, dinner roll, and salad. It was kinda like watching a starving wild animal eat.
We enjoy watching the Nathan's hot dog contest on July 4th **only** for the marketing spectacle surrounding the actual competition (which we sorta zip through to see the final tally).
from a business/marketing/promotional viewpoint for this event, the Major League Eating machine is kinda interesting.

Ooooh, and "Worst Cooks in America" does a fun activity where the contestants have to taste and describe a dish for the Chefs to make on the other side of the wall. Always hysterical to hear their definitions of individual ingredients. "It's DEFINITELY fish!" No, it was pork.
This guy, Joel Hansen, can literally eat THE most food I have ever seen a human being eat. He has several videos with Leah where he politely eats her under the table. Now I realize Leah is a woman but come on, how many people can eat 14 POUNDS of Texas style barbecue?? I repeat 14 POUNDS OF BARBECUE....
Oh and here's an encore where he eats...ready? ......A 24 POUND PULLED PORK SANDWICH. That's like 3-4 average size pork butts plus a gigantic bun. INSANE !!!
