    Anyone have this?

    Opinions please, I just ordered from Amazon. It will be here tomorrow. The Wok, the cooker will arrive on Saturday. I do want to expand into the Asian cuisine. I believe he's a good way to get a foundation. The advantage of Amazon, free returns. Your inputs are appreciated.

      It's excellent. It is to wok cookery what The Food Lab is to regular cooking; geeky, detailed, science-ey, and most importantly accessible.

      Some other resources for Asian cooking:

      The Woks of Life Mostly Chinese, but a bit of everything,
      Marion's Kitchen She's all over the map, but pretty heavy on Thai
      Hot Thai Kitchen Also all over the map, primarily Thai
      Aaron and Claire Mostly Korean
      Chinese Cooking Demystified I mean, it's right there on the tin.

      I have it, have his Food Lab book as well. I highly recommend this book, it’s a fun read even though I have not read it cover to cover like i did Food Lab.

      to help you, it provides discussion on ingredients, a pantry, lots of fun stuff to read!

      And as others have said, his videos are great as well and can pair nicely with this book.

            I bought it awhile ago and I learned a lot, as expected. I've only made one dish so far but it was good. Now I need to buy a wok and probably a burner as I have a glass top electric stove, although I could use the griddle.

              Wok arrives on Saturday. I will do most cooking on the Spirit for the time being. I too have a glass top stove. It is a flat bottom but until I get used to working with it I'm staying outside. All I gotta
              do is break the top. That would be ugly.

              Yeah, I really don't feel like scratching up the glass top and from what I gather you really want a constant heat source rather than the cycling of the electric element RichieB

            Got it for Christmas. Absolutely LOVE that cookbook. Great techniques, recipes, and explanations of why things work. Sort of like Meathead. 😎

                I have it but have not dived into it yet since I'm still waiting on my wok to arrive (over 3 months now) from the Wok Shop.
