Found a Smokefire EX4 cover at Lowe’s today. Didn’t see the grill, but heard rumors that the people that ordered from Weber directly got emails about them shipping in the next week. If the weather didn’t suck here I wouldn’t be able to sleep waiting for it. Saw some others found the Weber pellets in a couple places.

They called last night to confirm everything. Said they're telling everyone that they are shipping early to mid February, but then in the next sentence said that they were going to be sending them out in waves as fast as they can make them and couldn't be more specific than that. I don't know if that means sometime between now and mid-Feb mine will ship in one of the waves? Or if it means that mid-Feb is when they're going to start going out in general.
They also mentioned that the smoker/grill is being shipped with a company called SECO, but the pellets were coming from FedEx, so I have two different confirmation numbers. Seemed a bit confusing, but whatever works I guess!

Anyone found a cover for it besides the Weber cover? Curious if there are other options that will fit it nicely.Comment

Oh goodness. If SmokeFire is at Lowe's, I'm a goner. It can hide in my car until I surreptitiously introduce it into my herd of smokers without the husband twigging to the switcheroo with a kettle. Maybe. One can only hope.

Well, I was charged the full amount and given an order number on super bowl Sunday. My pellets arrived via FedEx yesterday, but I don't have any updates on the smokefire itself as of yet. Weber's site still says not shipped.....but then again it still says not shipped for my pellets too so who knows.....Comment

Anxiously awaiting the reviews...
This is the first pellet cooker that has really caught my eye. Mostly because of the grilling possibilities. My only experience with a pellet cooker has been my father's Traeger. And the smoke profile is a bit light for my tastes and a "grill" it is not.
That said, I really don't NEED another cooker.
(Who am I kidding, of course I NEED another cooker! LOL)Comment
