    Praise for Traeger customer support

    Hello fellow Pitmasters,

    I have heard complaints about customer support for other grill brands. I must say I am very happy with Traeger's customer support. I called them a few weeks again because I had a problem with my grill. The person talked me through trouble shooting and determined that it was either a bad connection or a bad thermostat. She talked me through checking the connections and said because it is under warrantee they would replace the thermo stat if need. I just called again and not only did they send me a new thermo stat, they sent me much useful information on trouble shooting, replacing the part, and proper and effective ways to use the grill. They said if this new port and trouble shooting don't fix the problem, they would replace the controller under warrantee. I looked up purchasing these parts and with shipping it would be over $400. They were so helpful and professional I am a loyal Traeger fan.

    I thought I should share.

          Traeger customer support is the one thing I will never have to worry about in life. Or any other pellet pooper customer support for that matter. Pellet smokers are called poopers for a reason.

              As many horror stories about Traeger support that I have read over at the (unofficial not connected with) Traeger user forum, it’s good to hear positive feedback as well. I made a sizable, for me, investment in a Traeger Woodridge Pro that has been 99.5% positives so far. I still enjoy cooking on my Weber 22 kettle, Weber 18” WSM and Pit Barrel PBX, but love the “set it and forget it” of pellet cooking.

                Curious as to the date of the horror stories you mention, were they old? My experience from about 1.5 yrs ago was excellent.

                When I did the review of the Flatrock griddle I had to contact customer service. I did it as regular ol' me, not as Huskee from AmazingRibs.com (used my personal email), so I was just another guy to them. The gal I had on the phone was a gem, she really was a treat to speak with, funny, on the ball, all the good stuff. It really was the best experience I have ever had with any customer service, and that's the truth. They are doing something right with their people.
