Building a new house with an outdoor kitchen on one wall of the outdoor back porch (cement). Looking for ideas on how anyone has built-in their Traeger. Seems pretty easy - take off the legs and build up and around it, but wanted others ideas prior to setting out on this adventure. Also looking to potentially incorporate a counter top flattop - any suggestions?

If the brand has to be Traeger, I am reading that the Ironwood or Timberline series are the only ones that support being built in in the manner you describe. But you need to plan for the electrical hookup, as well as access to the grease drain and ash cleanout and possibly pellet dump. Grilla sells a version of their Silverbak for built in applications, and I know some of the really high end pellet grill makers do as well.
Another idea is just to leave a gap that you can roll an existing pellet grill, gas grill, etc, into, and leave it on the cart. It opens up some options, but of course won't look as nice. A friend of mine researched building one in, and then just opted to shorten the counter on his outdoor kitchen and park a standalone pellet smoker at the end, with a false wall behind it. I.e. the counter stops, but the "wall" on the backside of the counter continues behind the pellet grill for several feet to hide it from the back side.
BBQ Guys sells some griddles intended for built in applications, but they are much pricier than standalone griddles. The same friend ended up building in a natural gas powered gas grill, and a separate 2 burner cooktop that he could just drop a cast iron griddle onto, or use with skillets and pots/pans.

Someone posted about Le Griddle built in cook tops recently. Those are really nice but pricey! If your budget allows, that could be a cool way! Not sure what you are looking for though.
Looking forward to seeing your plans with this!
