I raised the level of mediocrity way to high. Anything else will never match with the first result. Case in point, my second pork butt for a friends birthday party.
Do ya like beef?? If so, try smokin' a well marbled chuck roast. The procedure is the same as for a butt, but normally quicker. And instead of MMD, S&P work well. Some add garlic powder and onion powder, but you can do what suits you.
