    Sear on a Pellet Grill????

    On my Traeger Timberline 850.

      if your grill can handle it, sometimes I use pam olive oil spray to initiate a flare up on one side of the grill. Can't be normal pam or it likely won't ignite.

    How'd you sear it? I just received a Traeger Ironwood 885 for my birthday and am still reading the literature, but I can't imagine how Traeger's advice to lower the grate closer to the firebox would do the trick with no open flame.

      On high temp, the lowest grate, let it get hot, meat has to be dry.

    I get really good results on my Silverton using the Sear Station from Grill Grates.
