Rec Tec has just come out with all-weather smoke vents for the Mini. $20 including shipping.

Ordered these, and I think they will need to be sealed if you're going to leave it uncovered in the rain. Also, they come in and out easily, which also means they're relatively easy to knock off or loose. That said, I'm planning to put the red sealant around the edges, and I think that will make them a great accessory.
