I was reading about this pellet grill and I was wondering about the dual smokestack concept. Does anyone have any comments on why two, their placement, pros, cons, etc. Has anyone cooked on this pellet grill? I can only see one cooking chamber. Thanks in advance
I think it has to do with the center-mounted firepot and smoke generator... having it mounted on one end with the better part of a 4-foot long cook chamber could lead to some uneven temps from one end to the other. This design allows heat and smoke to flow to either side from the middle, rather than from one end to the other.
I actually was thinking about getting one of these a couple years ago. Then I actually saw one and how big it really is. Wayyyy too big for my needs. But very cool nonetheless.
One of the local food trucks has one, it's a big Bubba for sure. However they don't use it for cooking, the wood smoke their stuff at home and then use the RT as a warming oven and to generate smoke cheaply to entice customers.
Anyway as mentioned above, with its size the 2 stacks is likely to even out the cook chamber... or maybe they just did it to look cool, who knows with RT these days.
