I have a Recteq RT-700. It’s about five years now. It’s been rock solid for me. See my avatar. I haven’t really paid attention to the cooker line in quite a while. Man, the whole lineup has changed! And the prices have gone wayyyyy up too!! That 1300 looks sweet but has the high price to show for it. 🙄
Anyway, sorry I couldn’t be more helpful. I only commented because of my shock over the lineup and price changes since I bought my unit. 🤷‍♂️

Other brands are not a consideration at this point since my oldest son has a son has a new 300 sitting on a pallet waiting fir him to get the cabinetry together to mount it in. But, thx to all that responded anyway.Originally posted by DavidNorcross View PostNot familiar with it. Good brand with a good reputation. You could save money with a comparable product.

If you want to confirm after the fact that it is a solid smoker, you are right. Customer service is fantastic, and the smoker does great. It is more expensive than peers, which is usually the rub, but there is no question regarding its ability to turn out great food.
