Pellet vs gasser? Any thoughts

I can only speak to the pellet. I have not used any other type. I have a Rec Tec RT700 and love it. All stainless steel, 6 yr warranty and customer service that will not be beat. I'm very happy with the cooks I've done. Plenty smoke for me. Can always put a Heavy D diffuser in it. Has a place on each side for sticks if you want more smoke. or use a smoke tube if you want. It holds 40 lb of pellets in the hopper. PID controller, set it and forget it. There will be many opinions as folks like their own way of doing things and none of them are wrong. Info from these folks here comes with tons of experience and will give solid advice. I was where you are now. Was gonna get the Smokefire but backed away from that. Once you decide, you'll be a happy camper. No more thinking and more smoking...
