Last Saturday, I cooked beef tenderloin to pass out to the public at The Jack. My plan was to use the small Gateway Drum (BBQr's Delight logoed) to smoke half tenderloins then finish them off on the Davy. Well, it was cold, wet and the drum wasn't level. It did not perform so I ended up cutting steaks and cooking on the Davy. Jack Daniel's pellets of course!
The grill performed like a champ! The public loved steak bites! I despaired that I would ever get Davy clean again... Since it was borrowed, I'd convinced myself that I was likely replacing the grill for the owner. I started cleaning it out when I got home on Sunday. Vacuumed the hard bits and the fire pot. Scraped down sides and clean the deflectors and grates. Looks as good as when I borrowed it!
This is an amazing little pellet cooker. It weighs in at about 60 lbs. so it's not unmanageable. I may have to get me one!
