I am going to look at a used Yoder YS-640 on a competition cart that is 4 years old. Needs a little paint work. What should I look out for and check? Any input would be helpful. What kind of price would you pay for something like this?

No personal experience so just going by what I read at times. They are very solid and heavy so structure should not be an issue other than maybe paint as you suggest. The controls are the heart of the beast so look them over closely and make sure they don't look rusted or corroded in any way. If they are that can be used as a way to negotiate the price. As far as price I would only be guessing so will no comment there. Bottom line it is only worth as much as you are willing to pay. If the price is higher than that then it's decision time. Good luck and when you go to get it should you buy take some muscle with you. You'll need it. -
New price is $1845, $1000 is a good deal. Check the inside, fire it up and make sure the auger turns, the ingniter lights and it looks fairly clean. Good luck!Comment

Well, I picked it up today. Got it for $800. I had to drive 200 miles one way, but it was worth it
