    Kenmore pellet grill

Anyone know anything about the Kenmore pellet grill? Sears has them on sale but never heard of them before. I’m sure sears doesn’t actually make them but the pictures on the website look good! Not much info on the website or reviews either. Would appreciate any info you folks have.

Made by a company called Permasteel, they make what seems to be a decent midrange quality gasser. They make them and slap various labels on them like Sears.

Well apparently Max Good on the free side of the site didn't care too much for them, calling them cheaply made....

We reviewed these grills which are poorly made with cheap materials. They only carry a one year limited warranty.

I was referring specifically to a pellet grill. Does this same company that makes gassers also do the pellet grill for Sears?

Sorry I missed the pellet part. I went and looked at it on their website, almost looked like a Traeger. Anything Sears/kenmor is made by someone else, find out who that is,

Maybe Max Good can chime in here. He would know better than anyone. e

@smokenoob Agreed. I haven't shopped there in years due to some unhappy and frustrating experiences, due mostly to poorly trained employees.

They were bought out by K-Mart a number of years ago. The one in our town closed after only a couple of years. Every time I went in there (because it was closer than Walmart) I came out mad at myself for wasting my time because they never had what I was looking for, and Wally World usually did.

looks a lot like the Z-Grill. When I googled it, the price amazed me. $359.99 delivered!

I wondered about that. The model numbers of Kenmore and zgrill are almost the same

If you really want a pellet grill at that price, I would suggest the camp Chef Smoke Pro SE at Walmart. It is $344.00, comes with a one year warranty from a company that will be around a while. Easy to get parts. I have one, and it is a great starter pellet grill. I have used it for about 8 months.

I now know that a pellet grill will be on my back porch from now on (along with my gasser).

I actually got my CC smoke pro dlx for $375 on sale, great company, need to scout a bit for that deal though.
only reason I poo pooed Sears was I read an article about how they are closing stores and considering bankrupsy.....(I cant spell!)

I would avoid it. It’s probably some cheap chinese knockoff thing built with sub-par materials and the Kenmore brand name is simply licensed. Sears needs money that bad. I wouldn’t put it past them to pimp out the last real asset they have (Kenmore brand reputation) to anyone with a few grand to kick their way.

An independent appliance repairman I have known and used for years told me that the Kenmore brand is a proving ground for many companies to test out features and models they are considering for future release.

Thanks for the replies. I will continue my search for a good pellet grill. I’m really interested in the CC grill and would like to get a deal like you did. Any suggestions on where I might find one. I’ve checked Amazon etc.

I bought mine after Labor Day. If you can wait that long, a number of folks will be dropping their prices.

A lot of changes with Sears, a lot of changes with Kenmore outdoor cooking equipment. A new group is producing Kenmore outdoor cooking equipment, but it appears the old stuff is still in circulation. Sears should be giving their old Kenmore grills away.
