You may already have known this but Rec Tec discontinued the RT-680 when they came out with their new lines. They are now sold out.

Hmmm, too bad...they are widely known as a great cooker.
Do they have a similar/equivalent model in their new lineup?

Lonestar Grillz 24x48
Forno Bravo Casa 110
Sunterra 60" Argentine Grill w/ Rear Brasero
KBQ C-60
Weber Kettle 22"
Fire Magic a660i
PK 360
Fireboard
Bernzomatic w/ Mapp Gas
I'm still waiting for the computer upgrade for my RT-680. I'll spend some money for the wifi monitoring and upgraded computer etc, but I can't justify buying an RT-700 when I also severely want a KBQ AND an EOS.

Is there a wi-fi upgrade available for the 680? I don’t see one on their website.

swartzster, I believe it's in the works. Last time I asked they told me basically that it's not set in stone but there's a good chance. I definitely won't replace my RT680 with a new one but I'd definitely pay for the new computer

Grilla Silverbac
Grilla Primate
Weber Kettle
Camp Chef Escape
Old Hickory Knives
More Cast Iron than I care to admit
I have a 680 and love it. No intention of upgrading and will probably not buy the new controller. I have a fireboard and it works great for me.
Regardless, I think RecTec is great and I have heard nothing but good things about the 700.
