So I am working my way through a list of mods I would like to do on my Jim Bowie.
So far I have :-
Drilled out the existing thermo probe hole to allow me to get more probes in.
Added a probe hole on the opposite side of the smoker to give me.more.flexibility with my probes.
Added a permanent second shelf.
And for my latest mod I have added to heavy duty toggle clips to allow me to close and tension the lid to minimise heat \ smoke loss around the edges.
I must say it has really made a big difference. Most notably when firing up, majority of smoke exiting through the chimney, with just wisps at the sides now.
Next I want to :-
Add an internal light for night time cooking.
Cut a window in the side of the hopper and use some plexiglass. So I can see visually how my pellet levels are.
Add some USB charging points to the control area for device power and charging.
