I own both pellet poppers, one at home and one at my seasonal. I can't do a side by side comparison but I can compare. They differ in construction and quality, wifi and the Memphis direct flame is clearly superior to the Green Mountain open flame. At the end of the day I would purchase each one again for their respective uses Both produce wonderful bbq. But I am not a reviewer so I will not offer one.
An offer of sorts. Although I can not do a side by side comparison, I can compare and contrast. I like both and really don't have a bias. I used the DB Memorial Day through Labor Day and the Adv late fall and this past winter. Not quite a year of pellet smokers. Happy to try to help if I can.
Couple of impressions:
Daniel Boone incredible bang for buck. Heavy. Like the smoke stack. Don't like and don't use the open flame.
Memphis outstanding quality. Double wall construction retained heat well in the the winter without additional insulation or cover. Direct flame PIA to switch out but works well.
