I have been using a Masterbuilt electric smoker for about 10 years and FINALLY decided a 70 year old BDay present was necessary. After months of research I decided to buy a Grid Iron from Blaz'n Grills which is 100% AMERICAN MADE. I finally got that unit 3 weeks ago and boy oh boy is that unit ever solid! Well I got it set up and burnt in about 2 weeks ago and then yesterday I managed to fire this unit up for the first cook of 3 racks of ribs. I cooked these ribs 3-2-1 at 225 degrees and I am impressed that at 53 degrees outside that unit's temperature stayed at 225 degrees 98% of the time. Smoke was very generous but not overpowering and ribs were delicious. I have attached a photo of unit on my deck but I flat blew it and forgot to take pictures of the actual cook!!! Getting old does weird crap to you :>)
Needless to say the next good day I get I plan on cooking 4 pork butts and I will definitely photo results..... But I must say once more what a terrific unit this is................
