ID:	443464 My first cook on my YS 640. Did pork spareribs with 3 different rubs. Looking forward to taste testing. Cooked a little faster than I thought they might given ambient temp. 5.5 hours at 225. Held temp nicely. It did have a 10-15 degree difference between bottom and top rackso rotated food clockwise every 1.5 hrs with a spritz hourly.

Nice looking food and smoker. I have found that the same temp difference between top and bottom shelves on my 640 and rotation does get it all done at the same time. And again, nice looking rig!

I think about 8 -10 lbs. It was cold 37 and wet here with mild wind. I did keep the pit out of the wind so don’t think it had much of an effect.

The manufacturer reports 1 to 1.5 lbs per hour usually. Like any outdoor cooking device it will be affected by weather conditions. I checked today and i used 7 lbs pellets yesterday.

Outstanding! That's a nice rig. I'm looking into getting a YS640 this year too.

So which rub won? By looks, I'd give 2 toothpicks the nod.

Tooth pick one won the taste test. The rub was "Eat Barbeque" although all were tasty.

Very nice! I love those 640s with the comp cart. They look sharp and they are much easier to move around.

          Ribs looks great.

Congratulations. Love the competition cart. In case you need to smoke when it is raining, here is a hint to keep the electronics dry.

Couldn't cook on it here Monday because of blizzard and 40mph winds. May have to try what jlazar did in detached garage and run out one of the windows!
