I am so excited to announce I will be getting my Daniel Boone today! Looking to purchase pellets, is there a certain brand I should focus on or type? The last thing I want to do is ruin my new DB! I know GMG recommends using "their" brand, but new to this and was curious what everyone's opinion is. Thank you!

I personally like the BBQ Delite brand of pellets, they give me fairly good smoke flavor. Just about any brand of pellet should work good in the GMG but I would stay away from a really cheap brand, they probably won't hurt the grill but the flavor would not be as good as the premium brands. I have heard really good things about Grilla brand pellets but I think BBQ Delite makes theirs also Like Jon said the list is long so you may want to try a few different brands to find out which one you like better. Good luck.

Congratulations! Hope you love your Daniel Boone as much as I do mine.
Any cooking pellet will work. Do not use heating pellets. Some offer more smoke, some more ash, some more flavor. You just have to try several until you find the ones you like.
I currently have a 40 lb bag of Louisiana Grills competition brand pellets that I got a good deal on but have not used. I like Cooking Pellets and BBQ Delight & Lumberjack. Not a fan of Traeger or GMG pellets. Your experience may be different.

Congratulations on the cooker! If you don’t have a local supply of Premium pellets, check Amazon. I’ve mostly used Cookin’ Pellets bought on Amazon since they deliver cheap. But I got a good deal on Louisiana pellets that seem to work well also. I really enjoy my GMG and hope you have as much fun as I do!

I'm not a pellet pooper but I do remember hearing a couple of times about the auger jamming and the fire going out because people just dumped the pellets into the hopper from the bag. Apparently the dust in the bag came cause a jam. From what I got it was better to scoop your pellets from the bag with something you can shake the dust from before putting into the hopper. Anyone else.....?

Don't use Traeger Pellets! I tried 1 time and it jammed my sugar motor. Chicken and pork I use GMG Fruitwood. Beef I use Texas Blend. I enjoy the constancy. BBQ Delights work well also. I mostly use GMG cause I can purchase it local. Sportsman warehouse is a block away from my bank so when I cash my checks on Friday I stop by there b4 coming home. Get a rack. You'll get better smoke flavor getting it off bottom grate. I use 2 drumstick hangers and an old oven rack.
