Good Morning,
I have been looking into Pellet Grills because I like the idea of set it and forget it. The GMG line up is on sale till 12/4. This looks to be a pretty good deal on the Jim Bowie WiFi 999.00 list on sale for 699.00, anyone out there have one? Is the WiFi worth the Hundred, ( I like that option). I like to cook a lot of food when I do cook, how much do you cook at once and how does it turn out? Any opinions are appreciated.
Thank You.

I bought mine in the late spring for $999. (Including the WiFi.) I do not regret the cost or the WiFi! You are getting a great deal! Be aware that, like most appliances that have included WiFi, you are limited to a 2.4GHz band. Also, being a new technology in the grilling world, they’ve had to update the software several times. But, the customer service is top-notch!
I think the JB and the Daniel Boone have the same size hopper, but not the same size interior. So, you will be filling the hopper in the JB more frequently. That said, the amount of room is incredible! I cooked three full briskets at once in mine.
Get one or two of the interior shelves and the front shelf. Both are really handy!
Thanks for the input. Now here’s the Rub. Brick and Mortar Stores only. Which is awesome, buuuuuut no one is open on Sunday. Aaaaaaarghhh! I actually think I have the Treasurers nod of approval too. She can’t resist a good deal either. Well, some things just were not meant to be.
That’s a good deal. That’s the regular price of the DB WiFi I think. I do like the WiFi. Agree with khmfive comments on the updates. I did take me a few runs to get the WiFi and server mode down but you get comfy quickly.
BTW I do have a DB but have cooked in a JB. It is a great cooker IMO

GMG offers the best value in pellet smokers IMHO. That is a phenomenal deal! I have the Daniel Boone with wifi and love it. The JB is a bigger DB, so enjoy it!!!
Google provided this, I cannot endorse or quantify neither th' site, or th' cooker, but might be worth a lookie-loo, if one is interested. Savin' a Benji ain't nuthin' to scoff at, depends on th' shippin', an such, to yer AO......
At th' very least, I found th' videos to be persuasive, an' compellin'...
Feelin' th' not-$o-gentle tug of MC$, lol!
On t'other hand, 'twas curiosity, done kilt th' cat...

I bought a yoder 640 and have never looked back. I use a neutral pellet. It allows me to bake bundt cakes without any off taste. Get yourself a good electronic guages. Don’t trust the ones that are part of the system.
Thanks to everyone for your Support. I went and looked at a Jim Bowie in the Showroom of a local Stove/ Fireplace shop about 20 minutes from my house Monday morning. ( I guess being on nights this week wasn’t so bad) They did not have a WiFi enabled one, but they ordered me one and it should be in on Friday. I went with the Jim Bowie WiFi enabled with the Stainless Steel door. The Stainless option was 30.00 more but for some reason I was drawn to it. I guess I just like shiny stuff? Maybe easier to clean? Maybe I should have saved the 30.00 and bought more Pellets? I also picked up a cover, some Pellets and I even got approval from the Treasury Dept. to get the Pizza Oven gizmo add on. Hopefully his order arrives on Friday as he expects.

I have a Daniel Boone no Wi-Fi. It has been an Awsome cooker. My only suggestions would be to get a shelf (or 2 drumstick hangers and an oven rack) and cook food on it instead of on bottom grate. You'll get better smoke. Also you can tune even cooking temps by sliding your heat diverter plate to one side or another. Place 4 biscuits (1 on each corner) of bottom grate to figure how to tune it and or figure out your hot spots.
