    Pitts & Spitts Pellet 2436

Just wondering if anyone out there has any experience with this pellet smoker? It's from a company here in Houston that has traditionally built stick burners for well over 30 years (like about two dozen others in town) but have recently been selling pellet smoker. Went over to their fab shop and was suitably impressed. The unit itself is a fully welded 3/16" smoker box with a rolling 304 stainless cover and built-in stainless front shelf. Their PID controlled pellet feeder and hopper are built 3rd party but seemed solid enough. Tons of cooking room, as you would expect from a 24 x 36 box. Would appreciate comments from anyone who may have had experience with this unit, I'm giving it strong consideration.

No experience with with that one. It looks solid. Is there a warranty on the controller (especially the auger)?

It’s a Pellet Pro PID which carries a 1year warranty, about as good as you’re going to get I suppose. It’s basically a very high end stick burner modified as a pellet smoker. These guys, as I said, been around 30+ years and have a good rep. I’m probably commuting soon.

I've never had one but their factory is not too far from my house and I sometimes drive past it for work. They have a very good reputation here in Houston. The people I know who have their stick burners are very happy.
