Does anyone know if the Ortech tr100 controller will work in the Traeger Texas elite 34 grill? Thanks for any and all responses.

I replaced the LMH controller on my old Traeger with an Ortech. Can't remember the model number, but the Traeger was a Junior. Ortech claimed they are the company that made the controllers for Traeger at the time anyway, so I figured it would work. It did. Fit right in and was easy to hook up. Used the same traeger connections inside the pellet box. Worked like a champ the whole time I had the smoker.

What is the advantage? It appears to be the same, or nearly the same, controller. I upgraded to Traeger's digital pro with probe ports and it matches my Smoke thermometer within a few degrees. Not poking the bear here, just wondering.

I had bought an Oretech to replace my Brinkmann controller when the original melted and it has worked flawlessly. It took Brinkmann a year to waranty a replacement, no wonder they went bankrupt.

It lists Lil' Tex Elite, but to confirm check the model number on your grill. My grill information was located under the pellet hopper cover.
