Hello,
Does anybody know if there are Mahogany pellets available and if so where to purchase them? Have been looking for a while. Thanks for any assistance and direction for my dilemma.

I believe there is a lot of off stuff sold as mahogany that can be quite dangerous to inhale. I believe even regular mahogany sawdust can be dangerous to inhale, so I would guess you will not find pellets. If you are looking to smoke with it, I think you can find chips. If you're looking for a substitute, I'm led to believe it's similar to hickory, in terms of flavor.
I did a google search "smoking mahogany" and led me to a post in another forum, smokingmeatforums.com. You'll find that a poster referred this place, Mahogany Smoked Meats. They may have the answer for you on if Mahogany is safe and maybe know of a pellet supplier. An alternative is to chip it and to use a charcoal or gas grill (with a chip burning box).
