    Camp Chef Pellet Smoker

Greetings! For whatever reason, Walmart is having some crazy clearance sales right now. Today I found a Camp Chef pellet grill for $200. Does anyone here have one, or know anything about them? This could be a great deal.

My little brother has a Camp Chef and has been very happy with it. That's about all I can tell you.

Which one is it? I think even their cheap model is about $400 normally

$200 is about half price for Walmart. This is not the DLX model, so it's not as full-featured. The fan, auger motor and controller cost about $100-150 to replace, so it seems like a reasonable price. Just don't expect it to run 6-10 years without care and maintenance.

I think it is the smokePro SE. That is the one they have near me. Watching to see what happens to the price after Labor Day. It is still $344.00 here.

If it drops to that price here in texas, I will.

It went to $180 at a Walmart across town. I bought it! It is the SE model that they normally sell for $344.

Check out the Camp Chef web site. The Smoke Pro DLX has a different base, and a chute to unload pellets.

The next one down is the STX. lower quality base, with no dump chute for the pellets, different cover on the pellet hopper, and no upper rack. Same controller as the DLX.

The lowest one is the SE. It has a different controller, without a digital display. All 3 have the ash dump feature. I think you can upgrade the controller for about $50. You can get a upper rack for about $35.

I think all 3 are the same size.

Max has a review on the DLX.

BUY IT! It's 200 right? Buy it and throw the grill away if you have too. The assembly's worth 200!!

I have the SE. Love it. Added sear box and now it's perfect. Knock on wood lol

Sear box cost more than the SE.

I just got my Woodwind about a month ago. Minor cooks so far, nothing major yet. I'm nerdy with my grilling equipment; so, maintenance is not a problem for me. Take care of it, and it'll take care of you.
