Yes, they do! Z Grills originally started as a manufacturer producing pellet grills for several top brands in the industry. Before launching their own brand in 2016, they spent years building grills behind the scenes for other companies, leveraging over 30 years of manufacturing experience. That background helped them hit the ground running with their own line—offering high-quality grills at factory-direct prices.
So if you've owned a pellet grill from a major brand before 2016, there's a decent chance Z Grills had a hand in building it. Want to dig into which brands they might’ve supplied or how their designs evolved?

I always been curiously pessimistic about their 'free pellet grills for life' option, or whatever it is that they offer. Seems an odd 'too good to be true' type of business model.
I was looking around and found stand-alone pellet hoppers ranging from $100-$600.
Makes me wonder why the DIY folks here aren’t building their own ‘super-poopers’.
…… from a cardboard box, to plywood, thin steel, hook it up to gasser, etc.
that's more or less all Z grills does. If it looks like the mirror image of another brands grill, but made out of cheaper materials, that's because it is.
I was thinking that this reminded me of my old charcoal offset smoker (COS).
I modded that thing in every way possible; cutting holes, fashioning heat plates, extending the stack.
This brought back that same urge, to play until I found the right combinations of heat, convection etc.
