I had Mak 2 Star 327 back in the day. I ended up selling it a few years ago - hey we all make mistakes.
After a visit to Mak headquarters a couple of weeks ago and a few phone calls and a LOT of reading on the various forums I pulled the trigger today. It was a beautiful day for a drive down the Willamette Valley and I drove home with my new grill.
MakGrills customer service is legendary; but they really went the extra yard today. As you can see from my avatar and my user name I am a Route 66 fan - even my blog is 2For66.com I grew up near the Mother road as a kid and we'd drive the road to visit my grandparents in Winslow, Arizona. So, on a whim I asked Caleb, Dennis, and Rick if there was a grill with "66" in the serial number. Now most companies would say "pound sand; you need to take the next one in line." Dennis and Rick walked the warehouse and they found "3966" which was just finished last Friday. They had to move some grills around to pull it out of the back. SCORE! It was so nice of them to accommodate my wish.
Then, to get it in the back of my Subaru Outback, they had to unbox the big parts and load them individually in the back.
Sunday my son is coming over for Mother's Day and he's going to help me unload it and put it together.
