I have decided I want a high quality pellet. My little GMG Davy Crockett, which I bought for camping is just OK, has lots of issues and just too small for everyday cooking. . . .

Hi, SierraBBQGuy. I'm going through old posts as I research a first pellet smoker to replace my five-year-old, declining gasser.

Can I ask what issues you were having with the Davy Crockett? I'm reading elsewhere about hot spots at the edges. A small (and electric) cooker is what I'm looking for right now if it can withstand windy cold air.
