Good luck! I think the wait during shipping was the worst part. In the end, it's totally worth the wait.

Better open a fresh bag of pellets to get ready...also almost time to start the dry brine. Have fun!

Got it all together last night.

Just a few pics here and some assembly notes. Thanks to others detailed posts and comments from glitchy, ItsAllGoneToTheDogs , BurritoKing, GolfGeezer and I'm sure others I forget..

All in all assembly was what I expected; rather straight forward. Some instructions are worded unusual...like "eight bolts to attach cooker to frame..." when it is really 16; though 8 with bolts/nuts and 8 with frame welded nuts.

I appreciate the included bondhus hex wrench set; but happen to have a set of ball driver (notched towards tip to allow for an angled address to screw in bolts) and found those very useful in the assembly; certainly for the bolts attaching the cooker to the frame.

Two hex wrench sizes to get it all togehter; unless you have a door (perhaps the front shelf); then a 3rd hex wrench and a phillips. but still straight forward. Smaller hands would be great for attaching the door hinges to the frame!

I hooked up wifi initially with no issue; used mak mobile to add the PB just fine. Then subsequent attempts failed. I do have long/complicated passphrase...so went the guest ssid and simpler password route; that seems to be working fine.

** Edit: For those interested; it came with firmware V3.70.

I understand MAK will be discontinuing rubs/sauces; but got a couple with the cooker:

All put together. Still new and not yet fired; so almost as clean as @rwalters.

not sure yet if anything else will go away; probably not.

Once you're happy with the door position, consider drilling 2 holes in the bottom. Even covered, with the humidity we have here the bottom of the door will hold water.

You already made it past the harder part, the wifi setup. For what it's worth a few folks are testing a wifi app that MAK is working on, but a lot of their projects got pushed back a bit thanks to the current world situation.

I'm probably qualified; was going to ask if I could participate; but looks like the app will work fine for what I need; basically texts should I have a flame out; or run away temp or something.
