This thing is a beast! I ended up getting the LG1200 instead of the LG800! Not sure what happened but definitely not complaining.

The assembly was smooth. I needed assistance carrying the parts in from the driveway to the deck, especially the drum which is quite heavy. The rest of the parts come neatly packed inside the drum which is preassembled and the pellet box is already attached. Assembly starts by attaching the legs, the bottom shelf and the casters then standing the grill upright

I needed assistance again to get it upright, then add the combustion area and the sear station plates, and finally the grates, shelves and handles

The entire process took a leisurely 75 minutes. I'd give it 5 stars for quality of construction, and 4.5 for ease of assembly. Everything is heavy duty and all seems very durable, just check out these casters, very solid!

Finally I got it into its new home, but only after making some alterations. As I mentioned I got a larger grill then expected and it didn't fit in the area I was planning on putting it. I ended up removing a handle and putting the right side shelf down to get it to fit next to my old faithful Weber SX-335 which has been my primary grill for the past few years, prior to that it was a Weber 22"kettle, I can't believe I'll be smoking on this beauty tonight!

Thanks for checking out these posts and have a great day! I'll add more pics and perceptions after burn in and first cook.

let me know if you have any questions about the smoker so far

PS-Unfortunately the chief engineer was not as helpful as expected in this process

Thanks, I built the deck myself a few years ago, we spend a LOT of time out there!

Just a few more picks of the smoker with details of the hinges which seem heavy duty and the inside of the smoker which is just massive

I was very happy to see the interior light, that is the one thing I would say the SX-335 is lacking

j/k, thanks for going to the trouble of posting this. It's fun to experience something like this, even vicariously.

Burn in is complete and the grill has cooled (400f for 40 minutes). I used Traeger Pro Blend purchased from my local Home
Depot, it only seemed to use a small amount during the burn in, the hopper was completely full prior and it appeared to use about 2 cups

More detail of the double walled drum and the sealing of every seam to get that positive pressure, very impressive build quality on this beast

I did run into my first negative observation which is that the sear grate is sticking after burn-in. It worked smoothly after assembly but now sticks when I try to open or close. I have removed everything and cleaned but it still sticks, anyone else experience this? Have any ideas how to improve or fix the function.

Maybe spray the sliding diffuser with some high temp cooking oil like avocado oil? Of course, that might just burn off on the stainless and discolor it. Not that it will likely stay shiny as you smoke on it...

Congrats again, and thanks for bringing us along for the assembly. Would it work better if ya turned both cookers to face each other? That way you could use the shelf that you lost putting the cooker next to the wall.

Good idea but I would lose that length of bar top which would end up behind the grill, its not obvious in the pics but there is a bar/table that runs along the outside of the deck (to the left) and the Weber would block about half of it. The area behind me when taking the pics of both grills is open to the elements and I have only 12'x12' area under cover
