I'm glad you and your home are safe, Kevin. What a frightening turn of events.
Maybe I can now stop doing the "should I or shouldn't I dance" about getting a pellet cooker. I'm prepared to have less smoke flavor. I'm prepared to have more convenience. I'm not prepared for a house fire, since the thing would reside on my upper level deck off the kitchen.
I almost pulled the trigger about 4 years ago with the Grilla but backed off due to some wise advice here on The Pit about reliability. Now I'm glad I did, because it would not have fit my current needs. Who thinks about a pellet pooper catching on fire? Not me. Until now.
Yeah i know. I really liked the convience, and overall I think pellet grills are safe. I don't think i will replace it unless Grilla offers a great deal, and even then i would not leave it running and run errands like i used to. Or run it overnight. I haven't heard back, so i doubt that they are going to make me a discount offer.
Scotch: Current favorite- The Arran (anything by them), Glenmorangie 12yr Lasanta, sherry cask finished. The Balvenie Double Wood, also like Oban 18yr, and The Glenlivet Nadurra (Oloroso sherry cask finished) among others. Neat please.

I had it for like 10 years, I think? I haven't heard from them so I doubt that they will offer anything. And that's OK. Unless it is something like 50% off, I wouldn't accept it.
