The order of the pics changed on me. The walls are very thick and I could not feel any heat on the outside of the smoker at any time, which was very gratifying. It was very nice having the ability to monitor the cook on my phone as well.

I don't understand why they only provide two ports for probes though. I mean sure, just send two to cut down the cost, but leave the ability to use more!

All in all This was very much worth the money. At around $200 to $300 more than my Kamado Joe Classic, this has much higher capacity and convenience. It's easily worth 3 of these Joes at minimum.

    One last pic.

What was your smoke flavor like?

Thomassen It was outstanding actually! There is a plate over the top of the firepot that you can place wood chips on, for more smoke and it works perfectly. Absolutely no difference from my Kamado Joe.

One thing I love is that I can bring in the food on the grates one at a time. I've even loaded the smoker this way.

Grilla was offering their new Mammoth vertical smoker to anyone for $999, then they cut the price by 25% and ran out of them,. If anyone would like to look at the users manual I have a PDF copy of it and would be happy to send it to anyone if you can help me with getting it to you.

It's been a few months now, and wow am I glad I switched to this smoker! It is so much faster to get it going and up to temp, just turn it on and start prepping your meat. Being able to bring the meat to the smoker on the grill grate and back into the house has made this extra convenient, since there's no such thing as a small cook at our house. We fill this thing up every 3 weeks or so. My last cook was done with just pellets, no extra wood chips on top of the smoke pot, and honestly, I couldn't tell the difference, so that's another thing I don't have to do. I'm using the 40lb bags of smoking pellets from Sam's Club, and the stuff is great and very reasonably priced. Plus I don't end up with charcoal dust all over me. Never going back. Also never thought I would say that.

I have yet to see anyone say anything truly negative about them. If I needed the higher capacity, I probably would get one. It says a lot they have a hard time keeping them in stock!

Really is a great looking cooker.

I've been wanting one for a while but have been traveling quite a bit and no one would be home to receive the order. They're always 'out of stock' when I can plan receipt! Sooooo frustrating, but the demand speaks well of the product.
