I have the 42" LSG pellet pooper and can't say enough good things about it. I use it 3 -5 a week and it is very versatile. Very well made and the integrated FireBoard controller works great. I've had a few Traegers and cooked on GMGs, Rec Tec and Yoder and find the LSG to be superior. Their service is fantastic, and as often as not the owner Chris will answer the phone. I do not hesitate at all to recommend them.
Minor downside is removal of the burn pot. While it is functionally a magnificent feat of pellet cooker engineering, removing it requires getting on ones hands and knees. Not a problem for the relatively fit, but I can see that being a challenge for those who struggle with that position.
Shipping is what it is and you only have to pay for it once. The build time wait can be excruciatingly long, but we LSG owners consider that to be a right of passage
.
Good luck with your search and we're all looking forward to your decision!

It should be cleaned before or after each use. Most pellet grills need or should have that burn pot maintenance regularly. The upside of the LSG it that it's easily accessible by simply unfastening a couple of spring clips from underneath rather than having to pull the grates and deflector shields like most other brands.

all pellet grills work roughly the same way, an electric igniter to heat up and set fire to the pellets in the burnpot (like the 12v cigarette lighter in your first Chevy). once the fire is established, it doesn't need electricity anymore because new pellets just land on the fire, but it will fill up with ash and eventually needs to be emptied so that new pellets can be ignited.

I was gonna suggest LSG, but you've done gone and already ordered one. Nice, you won't be disappointed!
