Hello, do you find that the thermal blanket helps the smokepro perform better in the winter?

Camp Chef smoke pro, the one that is exactly like the woodwing except for the stainless lid.

It certainly would. The Camp Chef metal is a little bit thin and would certainly benefit from some insulation. I use it on my PBC in the cold months in Minnesota and it works great.

Camp Chef might make one for this unit, specifically, but.......

Here is the one that I use. It is non-shedding which is what you really want.

I use magnets. It’s a lot lighter than a fiber glass blanket. panteracfh3

Spinaker, do you think this will work on a KBQ? I have been using a welders blanket from Harbor Freight. Sheds all over the place!!!

Yeah, it probably would, I would be carful of dropping coals though. It is not as heat resistant as the fiber glass blanket. But it would still be effective for sure. I am gonna give that a run over the Xmas holiday. JGrana

I have the Thermal Blanket for my Camp Chef (S&G 24") and it works great. IT was well worth the money IMO.

According to my experience, it works. Brother in law uses his CampChef in winter with a blanket. It made a HUGE difference during the below 20 degree cooks. And when it's not extremely windy it works as charm.
