    Got a better solution??

As a result of picking up a NexGrill Oakford (Vertical Pellet), I thought it would be good to adjust the layout of my cooking gear under my Pavilion. Everything has its own cover and in bad weather I push everything to the center....not ideal but it is pretty simple and way better then hauling stuff from the garage!

Camp Chef Flat Top is the issue; (always hard to level on my patio)
    1. I swapped the adjustable peg leg with casters to make it easier to move
    2. Casters + the new location created a terrible slant on the cooking area
    3. Current solution is very stable and very level (wheels raised on PVC)

I need to state that I am really not very "Handy"....if someone says "Lefty-Loosey" - I think "why are we talking about politics and who the heck is Lucy!"

Unfortunately your patio either was installed sloped too much or has settled... It looks like your pavers have been mortared in so the fix is likely expensive. If it was just pavers with kiln sand I'd start at the high end and lift pavers to add sand/cement and level (nearly flat but still with some drainage away from the house foundation). I'm not experienced with doing this when the pavers have been mortared and don't know the work involved... maybe it's just the same as above just picking out the mortar and reapplying it when done but I couldn't guess at a cost.

If it was me, I'd build a leveled platform for the flat top and any other affected cookers assuming you don't move them around.

Makes it a little funky 'cause it looks like you have 3 drainage slopes to consider with that location AND your shade thingy is bolted in... none of that is a huge deal for getting it fixed, but it does add to the cost if done professionally...

There is a slight grade to the patio, but it is fine. I created the leveling problem when I replaced the left peg leg with casters. I may just go back to the peg legs and live with lack of mobility.

Given that you already installed casters on the "peg leg" end you now need to compensate at the other. If it really is level with the PVC kludge then all you need to do is measure from the center of the axle on the original wheels and get replacements in a diameter that will eliminate the need for the kludge. Let's say the current measure is 6", that says a 12" wheel will maintain level and give you back mobility without having to futz around. It takes some effort to research replacement wheels but you don't gain if you don't invest effort.

funny, I did consider offering a wheel suggestion too (much cheaper than a platform) my brain was focused on all the cookers

      Thank you

I will take a look; it should help that the casters are adjustable....

Bad Hat BBQ now that you've said you might take off the casters you added here's an alternative I've used for a similar situation. These are typically identified as "workbench casters" or "retractable casters". They work great...........

    Interesting issue.

I've got the FTG900, which does not have leveling legs on the left like yours, but comes from the factory with casters instead. However, they did the cart for the bigger flattop to compensate for those. I've had complaints as I move it around that I can't level enough, because the only leveling I have are the two screws under the right end of the griddle top, and those have a limit to how much they can compensate. If I get more off level on a surface than that, I've got some wooden ships I shove under the wheels to level it out.

Hoping to build the Camp Chef into an outdoor kitchen this summer, and I've resigned myself to doing the leveling in the design of the kitchen itself.

Good luck with your build out..
I am going Uncle Bob's suggestion of getting bigger wheels

I have the Camp Chef FTG600 which also has a levelling issue on my deck, especially since it was just recently resurfaced. My solution was to shim under the casters and the back legs as necessary to get the whole unit more or less level and then fine tune it by using machine washers under the griddle as shims to get the surface absolutely level or perhaps running slightly toward the front for grease to run into the trough and grease cup. It was much easier than trying to get the entire unit perfectly level.
Depending how out of level your deck surface you may just be able to get away with simply shimming the just the griddle.

I did this exact thing with my FTG900. You wouldn’t think it would make a huge difference in cooking experience but man I love using that griddle even more now that it’s level.

Yeah - I love cooking on the flat top. Once I get a hard cover and get it built in, it will see even more use I hope. When it came down to layout of my area, I looked at my most used / favorite cookers, and the flat top and the kamado are the ones that get the nod for being built in out by the pool. I'm not getting rid of the other cookers, but they will be relegated to another less viewable part of the backyard.
